Look 2 Meet - How it works
Registration
- Register your details for 12 months free basic membership
- Upload a photograph – this is optional but will improve the accuracy of your search results.
- Read the Terms & Conditions of Registration and tick the box to say that you agree to them.
- Click on Submit, your profile will now have been created.
- You will be sent an email confirming your username password and your unique member ID number
- Login to Look2Meet using your unique log on details to access your user page.
Searching – 5 simple stages
- Stage 1: To start your search choose from "someone you have seen once", "someone you see regularly" or "someone who passed you a Look2Meet card" whichever best suits the situation.
- Stage 2: Follow the drop down boxes to input the information that best suits the situation or alternatively if you have been handed a Look2Meet card, input the member ID number as shown on the front.
- Stage 3: Use the box entitled "Description of me and the person I saw on the day" to enter more specific details, for example what you were wearing and a description of the person you saw. This is the description that someone with a match to your search will see.
- Stage 4: Use the box entitled "Describe the Situation" to give more detail about the place/situation where you saw the person, what was happening, what the weather was like etc. This is the description that someone with a match to your search will see.
- Stage 5: Click on the submit button to start the search process.
The Results
- Look2Meet will search the database of members for a possible match, you may not get an instant result as it will be dependant on when a search is entered for you.
- When a match is found both parties will be alerted by email.
- Your email will prompt you to then log on to Look2Meet and log in to access your user page.
- The results to your search will be in the "My Searches" section of your user page. To view these click on "View" and you will be taken to the Look2Meet.com secure payment server where you will be required to make a card payment of £1.00.
- Once payment is made your search results will be available for you to view including a description of themselves and a photograph (if they chose to upload one). In addition you will be able to read the description of the person they saw which hopefully will be you
- Your photograph and text descriptions will only be visible to the person/s if their stage 2 search criteria matches yours ( ie date & place)
- You will now have the opportunity to make contact with your search results through your secure Look2Meet mailbox as many times as you wish with no further charges.
- Your search/es will remain active for 28 days unless you chose otherwise.
- Look2Meet have put you in touch, now it’s up to you. Good luck, have fun and stay safe.
